PIPING MATERIAL ENGINEER
The Jobs:
· To provide a focal point for knowledge/expertise in all aspects of specific types of piping system and associated technology as allocated by the Lead Engineer
· Execute the delegated work schedule with limited supervision and supervise assigned personnel when appointed to Lead Engineer roles
· Prepare or check, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, bid summaries, technical recommendations, calculations, analysis, designs and drawings, etc., as required, for approval by the Lead Engineer/Project Manager
· Review vendor drawings and documentation and assist with inspection of piping component as required.
· Coordinate Discipline activities within Piping Engineering, with other departments and liaise with vendors or client on specific project assignment. Also co-ordinate subcontract activities as necessary to meet project and proposal completion dates
· Maintain awareness of correct technology to improve and broaden expertise by identify new piping component, technology and develop improved techniques and methods of working to effect greater efficiency
· Ensure Compliance with Codes of practice, Standards, Company Standards and Procedures and Health and Safety Regulation
The Requirement:
· BSc standard is preferred
· Corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers is desirable
· Substantial experience gained at an engineering contractor is required
· Able to work with limited supervision
· Minimum 3 years experience in oil & gas industry
